.TW (Free Registration Program)

What is a Free Registration Program?

Under this program, newly established companies in Taiwan can register a free .com.tw/.tw/.台灣 domain name to expand their business.
This program will be available from now until further notice.

Who is eligible to apply under this Program?

This program is applicable to any company or enterprise (excluding any factory or limited partnership) which has completed the registration of its establishment with the Department of Commerce, MOEA (Taiwan); any county/city government or the relevant competent authority.

What are the special registration requirements/restrictions under this program?

Eligible company may choose to apply for any of the following types of a new domain name for one year with no registration fee charged.

  • com.tw
  • .tw
  • .台灣

Qualification verification conditions:

  • Offer must be used within 12 months from the date of registration of company or enterprise.
  • This program offer is limited to one use.
  • Company registration or business registration information must match with data of MOEA.

How do register a domain name?

Reseller may conduct the eligibility check via login to Reseller Panel, under Domain Panel, navigate to [Registry Program] -> [TWNIC Free Registration Program for Newly Established Companies], domain name registration will be allowed after verification.
The applicant must provide the Unified Business No. (UBN) and Chinese Company Name when doing the eligibility check.

How much does it cost under this program?

For eligible domain, no fee will be charged for registering a domain name.
For non-eligible domain, a standard registration fee will be charged.

Other Notes

If the registrant violates the rules or provides data with obvious error or falsity or which is likely to infringe upon the rights of others, the registrant shall be solely responsible. Registry will cancel the domain name in accordance with the Guidelines for Domain Name Registration and the Domain Name Registration Agreement.
